Research for my second novel is taking me to some interesting places, both figuratively and literally. The itinerary for my research trip includes the following locations:
Israel - Jerusalem, Qumran and Tel Aviv
France - Paris, Chartres, Troyes, Strasbourg & Dijon
Should be a fascinating trip, although rather chilly. Still, nothing beats firsthand experience when trying to evoke a place. I'm also stopping off in New York City on the way home, so that should be fun. Although with the Aussie dollar so weak, I'm beginning to wonder...
In the meantime, I'm involved in an collaborative writing effort over here. Once you've read the description of the challenge, simply click on the "NAMELESS" link at the top of the page to read the story in progress. Should be interesting to see how it works out and a very worthy cause.
Finally, check back in December when I'll be posting two of my published short stories on this site for your reading pleasure.
As they say in France -À bientôt,
Nathan.
