So I’ve been a bit slack with updating this website. If you're a regular visitor, I apologise.
It seems that news of a review of FIVEFOLD in
Spectrum, the weekend magazine of the
Sydney Morning Herald, was premature. A mix-up involving a
change of editors & a lack of communication means the review
is unlikely to appear in Spectrum after all. Quite a shame, as
the draft review I saw was very generous in its assessment.
On a more positive note, the word count for my second novel (a prequel to
FIVEFOLD)
is now hovering a bit over
120,000 words. The end of my first, major timeline is almost
within reach... I’m
also currently planning a 3-week
research trip to Jerusalem and northern France to help with the setting. The flights are booked and I’m trawling
through various travel sites to get the best advice on accommodation,
tours and so on. The prospect of visiting places that I’ve read
so much about is very exciting. I promise to post some photos after I get back.

Now for a bit of spruiking...if you don’t mind your fiction with a touch of shadows, I can recommend two recent releases.
Black Box only costs AUD $12.95 (plus postage) and all proceeds are
donated to the Australian Horror Writers Association. It
contains:
Nearly 100 dark & surreal flash fiction stories from 80 different authors
